Headlines warned that computers might stop at midnight. Banks, businesses, everything at risk.
Midnight struck, 1 January 2000… and nothing happened. Except unforgettable parties.
Of course, behind the scenes, fixes had been put in place, so back at work, nothing had happened. My role was simply to keep the team steady, calm over chaos. Some still question whether all those fixes were even needed in the first place 🤔
