Are you aware of how you feel right now — and the thought that was just attached to that feeling?

Most of us aren’t. We move through our day largely unconscious of our thought–emotion–behaviour patterns.

Yet as Gabor Maté reminds us: “The first step toward changing is awareness.”

We are designed to be unconscious of our behavioural patterns

Conscious behaviour requires energy and our autonomic nervous system needs that energy

to pump your heart, regulating breath, digestion, inflammation, immunity.

You’ve tried to change those thought behaviours, right?

You’ve done the team, leader courses & workshops, on “changing behaviour” or “thinking differently.”

You try for a while…and then the old patterns return, no matter how strong your intention:

I here so many say, I can’t change, but this is not true. You can..

Simply by adding one important item to the formula, ‘Awareness of feelings’

Patterns don’t start in the mind. They start in the body.

Unhelpful thoughts or behaviours are signs of a subtle fight–flight state:
tight shoulders, clenching, shallow breathing, irritability, constant alertness.
We get so used to these sensations that we stop noticing them… but they dictate our communication, confidence, and decisions.

This is why trying to “think differently” is exhausting and rarely sticks.

Real, lasting change begins with awareness of the bodily state beneath the behaviour.

When you learn to shift your nervous system out of unnecessary defence and into safety, everything changes:

Clearer thinking × Calmer responses ×Behaviour change ×More confidence ×Emotional stability

Start with awareness – practice – becomes habit, this is ‘Neuroplasticity’

This is how I train executives, professionals with the:

Ayla Approach: Body first → Brain follows → Performance rises.

What subtle sensation in your body might be shaping your behaviour without you realising it?

If you’re ready to break old patterns and lead from a calmer, clearer, more confident place…

I support organisations and individuals through:

🔹 Corporate leadership & team training and 1:1 performance mentoring
🔹 Talks & workshops

If you’d like to experience how quickly things shift when you start in the body,
message me “Interested” and I’ll send you a few simple neural exercises you can try today.

Let’s begin the rewiring process together — from the inside out.
